Abstract

The study of the origin of multicellular animals holds great importance in understanding the evolutionary processes that shaped life on Earth. Multicellularity represents one of the most remarkable transitions in biological evolution, marking the shift from simple unicellular organisms to highly organized and functionally complex beings. Investigating this transformation allows scientists to uncover how cooperation among cells evolved, how differentiation and communication systems developed, and how genetic mechanisms led to the emergence of various forms of animal life
