Abstract

This article examines the legal basis, practice, and ways to enhance the efficiency of parliamentary oversight in Uzbekistan. It highlights the importance of parliamentary oversight in ensuring government accountability, protecting citizens’ rights, enforcing laws, and increasing transparency and public participation. The study identifies gaps in legislation and practice, emphasizes the role of media and civil society, and suggests establishing dedicated oversight committees and legal mechanisms to strengthen parliamentary oversight.
