EXPRESSION OF THE CONCEPT MOTHER IN PROVERBS IN ENGLISH AND UZBEK LANGUAGES

Abstract

The concept of "mother" holds a central place in the cultural and linguistic worldviews of different nations. Proverbs, as a reflection of collective wisdom, provide valuable insights into how the role of a mother is perceived across cultures. This article explores the linguistic and cultural representation of the mother concept in English and Uzbek proverbs, analyzing similarities and differences in the perception of motherhood. Through comparative analysis, the study highlights the emotional, moral, and social roles attributed to mothers in both languages.
