Abstract

This thesis examines advanced laser technologies in ureteroscopic procedures, focusing on holmium yttrium aluminum garnet and thulium fiber lasers for treating urinary stones. It reviews the development of laser lithotripsy and evaluates clinical outcomes, safety, and technological improvements. Recent advances in laser fibers and energy delivery have increased stone fragmentation efficiency while reducing tissue damage. Modern laser systems achieve more than ninety percent stone-free rates with fewer complications than traditional methods.
